A children's fictional story about Mountain Gorilla preservation based on the legacy of Dian Fossey.
The story follows Shelly and her father, a veterinarian and new Director of the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project based in Rwanda, in East Africa, at the base of the Virunga Mountains. After settling into their daily routine they climb the mountain path to Karisoke Research Center. From the Center, they will climb the slopes in search of the Mountain Gorillas as they range freely on the misty mountain side. And Shelly will come to learn more about the woman, Dian Fossey, who first brought the preservation of the Mountain Gorilla to World Wide attention.
